Muscle mania grips men-Hrithik is one of DEM!!!

If Shah Rukh Khan can do it why not me," this is what one gets to hear if you visit a fitness training centre in the capital. With six pack abs, Shah Rukh has given a new meaning to the adage "health is wealth", and this image has triggered a new craze for eight pack abs (a step ahead of King Khan) amongst health enthusiasts in the capital.

From celebrities to college-goers, fitness training centres are packed with aspiring eight pack abs candidates. So, who in the capital is the ideal candidate for eight pack abs? Says Pooja Bedi, "Keeping in mind, Delhi’s political buzz, I think eight pack abs will complement Omar Abdullah’s cute smile." Many are of the opinion that politicians are the ones, who need eight pack abs as only a healthy mind can reside in a healthy body, and that will eventually lead to healthy politics.

Actor Rajeev Paul says, "Eight pack abs signify fitness, and looking at the stressful schedule of our politicians, I think they need it the most. Moreover, no one knows eight pack abs might curb scams and encourage healthy politics." However, VJ Yuvi gave an alternate view saying, "It is true that our politicians should be the proud owners of eight pack abs. In fact, with so many coalition governments in the country, they deserve ‘party packs’ for the smooth functioning of their parties."

If one looks back at Bollywood’s recent past, one is sure to find many stars with "muscular physics". Whether it’s John Abraham in Jism, Hrithik Roshan in Kaho Na Pyaar Hain, many Bollywood hunks in the past have pumped their muscle to add "muscular" glamour to their characters, and have succeeded at the box office.

Experts say getting eight pack abs is not a Herculean task, but there are a few scientific criteria that need to fulfilled. The most important is the genetic factor. Experts say that most men can develop eight pack abs, but weak tendon divisions don’t always define the bottom row, even if they have taut tendons, a lot of discipline is required to melt the fat that hides the rectus abdominus.

Elucidating her take on eight pack abs, Kiran Sawhney, fitness trainer, Fitness Solution says, "A proper fitness plan is the basic criteria for getting eight pack abs. Working under a qualified trainer, who has a complete understanding of human anatomy is a must. The body fat intake should be low to achieve eight pack abs. Cardio activities help in reducing body fat, and only after that should one do exercises to build the eight pack structure."

The craze to keep fit in today’s world has been the motto for many, and this has eventually increased the number of fitness training centres in the country. The emergence of a working class with an expandable income can be cited as a reason for this, as hectic working schedules and lack of time to devote to matters regarding health has prompted many to join fitness training centres.

"Yes, the new generation is very health-conscious. They have the money to spend, and are game to do anything for a healthy body. I agree that the number of fitness centres have seen an incredible increase in recent times, which I think is a good sign for India’s future," says Manoj Tiwari, a fitness trainer Fitness World, Preet Vihar.

He also added that the 70,000 crore healthcare industry has a great scope for growth in the private sector, and in such a situation, taking up fitness training as a profession can be fruitful.

Hrithik's track in Krazzy 4 to be featured in the end credits

Rakesh Roshan launched the music of KRAZZY 4 with the promotional song of Shah Rukh Khan. The song, filmed most lavishly, caught the attention of one and all. The next track, filmed on Rakhi Sawant, also became hugely popular with those who love desi numbers. The question was, would Hrithik Roshan's song be as impressive as SRK's?

Now that the song is on air [it'll feature in the end credits of the film], everyone's unanimous that Hrithik has outdone himself. Ask Roshan Sr. whether the song would now be a part of the story thanks to its popularity, he denies it outright. “If we force the song in the narrative, it would only act as a speed-breaker, spoiling the flow of the story. The song was never meant to be a part of the story; it was always supposed to be used during the end credits,” he states. That's honesty!

Quintessentian Youth Icon Hrithik Roshan : In Pics

Hrithik turns script-writer for Krrish sequel

Actor Hrithik Roshan will help pen the script for a sequel to the blockbuster Krrish in which he played a masked superhero who could leap over buildings in a single bound, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan, who directed Krrish said he and his son were discussing new stunts that could be part of the sequel.

''Hrithik has always taken a keen interest in scripting and has been an intrinsic part in the making of all my films,'' Rakesh Roshan told Mumbai Mirror . ''He will write the script of Krrish 2 along with me.''

He said the two had discussed the story in detail and would begin writing after Hrithik Roshan completes filming the historical romance Jodha Akbar.

The father-son team have collaborated on hit movies such as Kaho Na Pyaar Hai and Koi Mil Gaya.

Hrithik asked wife before kissing Ash

Remember the sizzling Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Rai kiss in Dhoom 2? There was more to it than we thought.

Hrithik apparently had a full-fledged discussion on it with his wife Suzanne and only after she approved of it and ‘encouraged’ him, did he go ahead with the scene.

We guess it has a lot to do with the fact that Hrithik is a very family-oriented person and his wife’s approval means the world to him.

And regarding the liplock, a few months ago reports had said that the Bachchans asked Yash Raj Films to axe the scene that shows their to-be daughter-in-law (Aishwarya) doing a “bold smooch”.

However, Dhoom 2 director Sanjay Gadhvi refused to comment on the issue and maintained that his relations with Yash Raj Films haven’t been effected due to the controversy.

The liplock had raised eyebrows and sparked off controversies soon after the movie was released on November 24 last year. A lawyer had even filed a legal suit against Hrithik and Aishwarya. However, no formal action was taken against Yash Raj Films.

The Bachchans never approved of the Ash-Hrithik liplock and speculation was rife that Abhishek had stopped talking to Hrithik after seeing the kissing scene.

Now with the Ash-Abhishek wedding round the corner, it seems the Bachchans are all out to get a squeaky clean image of their would-be bahu.

Hrithik shells out Rs 15 cr as tax

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has emerged the highest individual tax-payer in the country for 2006-07. Hrithik, one of the most successful actors last year, paid a whopping Rs 15.1 crore rupees as taxes. Close on his heels is Shah Rukh Khan who paid Rs14 crore.

Bollywood actors have consistently been India's top income tax payers for many years. Others to have shelled out over a crore as taxes include Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor and John Abraham.

It’s the film industry that takes the cake in filling up government coffers. Shah Rukh Khan has consistently been among the highest tax payers for years and in 2006- ’07, sources said, he paid Rs 14 crore in taxes—almost double what he paid in the previous financial year.

Akshay Kumar paid Rs 6.6 crore for 2006-’ 07 while Kareena gave the department Rs 2.9 crore. John Abraham paid a little over Rs 1 crore and yesteryear star Jeetendra ended up paying Rs 1 crore.

As for cricketers, Sachin Tendulkar paid Rs 5.75 crore. Interestingly, none of the top businessmen who snap up billion-dollar companies contribute much in their individual capacity to government coffers.

Hrithik and Ranbir come together in Bhansali's Next

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is planning a film with Hrithik Roshan and his Saawariya hero, Ranbir Kapoor. It is reliably learnt that the filmmaker is in talks with both the actors.

Bhansali, who was was in Paris directing the musical Padmavati, returned to Mumbai last week ‘Bhansali’s back’ Says a source, “Although Sanjay was put off with the response he got post Saawariya, it has not affected the story-teller. He was meant to start his Heera Mandi project after Saawariya but now he wants to put that on the backburner. He has a two-hero, one-heroine script ready and that is the one he wants to start early next year.”

The source adds, “Bhansali has already sent a copy to Hrithik Roshan. On the other hand, Ranbir has spoken to Sanjay about the project and is going to be a part of this project too. The film is also said to be backed by Sony Pictures after the two made Saawariya,” the source concludes.

Says Ranbir Kapoor, “I have not been approached.” Rakesh Roshan simply said, “I have no idea about any such development.” The source further adds, “The concerned parties are not supposed to reveal anything till it is finalised.”

Hrithik Roshan breaks free on the dance floor

There is hardly anyone else in Bollywood who can match the nimble-footed grace of HRITHIK ROSHAN .

The first look of Hrithik’s first-ever item song ‘Break Free’ in papa Rakesh Roshan’s home production KRAZZY 4 is out. And Hrithik looks dazzling in a red costume with chains strapped around his waist over stone-grey cargo pants. Hrithik’s styling is done by Anahita Shroff.

The song, shot at Yashraj studios and choreographed by Ganesh Acharya has Hrithik doing some incredibly difficult dance steps despite his long-sustained knee injury.

Titled ‘Break Free’, the song is composed by Vishal-Shekhar and sung by Vishal.

The movie also has SRK in another item number called ‘Break Free’ that has the same tune but slightly different lyrics.

While SRK’s song will be part of the film (probably the opening track), Hrithik’s number will come when the end credits roll.

‘Krazzy 4’ tells the story of four crazy people. The roles are played by Irfan khan , arshad warsi , and rajpal yadav suresh menon . juhi chawla plays a doctor in the film.
